A new intermodal waterway corridor has been added to the Xiaocheng River–Haihe River shipping network: the Yingkou–Shouguang–Gaoqing container sea-river combined transport route has officially opened.

The new channel of "Yingkou-Shouguang-Gaoqing" container sea-river intermodal transport was officially opened recently, and the maiden voyage of "Guoyan Star 2" berthed at Shouguang Port, Bohai Bay Port, Shandong Port. The innovation of the channel adopts the "sea inland river" seamless intermodal mode: the goods are loaded in Yingkou Port of Liaoning Province, and then directly transported to Shouguang Port Area of Shandong Province by sea, and then transfer to "Qingheji" series of inland river ships, and finally reach Gaoqing Port in the hinterland of central Shandong Province along the Xiaoqing River waterway, thus constructing the whole logistics closed loop of "northern coast-Bohai Bay hub-central Shandong hinterland. This mode realizes the one-time loading and unloading of the whole ship container, and the whole process is direct, which significantly improves the transportation efficiency, shortens the transit time, and effectively reduces the comprehensive logistics cost, and provides a more economical, stable and environmentally friendly green logistics choice for the transportation of key materials such as building materials and chemicals for enterprises along the line. The opening of the new channel not only fills the business gap of container Haihe intermodal transportation in the direction of Yingkou to Shouguang, but more importantly, it closely connects the northern source of goods with the needs of Gaoqing and even the broader inland industries, effectively promoting the efficient circulation of key materials in the region and helping the green transformation of the transportation structure to "revolution to water. With the normal operation of the route, the shipping potential of the Xiaoqing River Basin will be further activated, injecting new strong impetus into the industrial coordination and economic development of the whole region.
