COSCO Shipping has launched four end-to-end supply chain solutions under the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, helping enterprises in Chongqing and other central and western regions to expand overseas more efficiently.
On April 28, China COSCO Shipping Group held the "COSCO Shipping Service New Land-Sea Corridor Chongqing Supply Chain Product Launch Conference" in Chongqing, collaborating with Chongqing Municipality to create new scenarios for the integration and development of industrial and supply chains. The four comprehensive chain products released this time are important measures of central-local cooperation launched by COSCO Shipping and Chongqing Municipality to deeply integrate into the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, and the construction of international logistics hubs, precisely targeting the urgent needs of Chongqing's advanced manufacturing and specialized industries for overseas markets, effectively addressing logistics bottlenecks, reducing overall costs, and improving transportation efficiency.
Zheng Xiangdong, Vice Mayor of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, Lin Ji, Director and General Manager of COSCO Shipping Group, representatives from relevant municipal departments and districts/counties in Chongqing, various units of COSCO Shipping Group, corporate clients, and media representatives totaling over 120 people attended the conference.
The four comprehensive chain products released this time cover various transportation modes such as rail-sea, river-sea, and air transport, providing integrated and visualized supply chain solutions tailored to different industries and export directions. Among them, the "Land-Sea Full Chain Flat Rate" product relies on fixed trains of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor to effectively ensure inland transportation timeliness and guarantees cabin space and container usage through a linked shipping network. It is expected to reduce overall logistics costs by more than 30% and offers a fully visualized single-point interface service to comprehensively support "Made in Chongqing" products in safely, efficiently, and economically reaching overseas markets.
The "Chongqing to South Korea Foreign Trade River-Sea Combined Transport" product leverages a stable delivery period of approximately 15 days from Chongqing to Incheon/Pyeongtaek, South Korea, and ensures cabin and container sources through self-operated and cooperative shipping routes, providing customers with a seamless "one container direct, one ticket combined transport" service experience.
The "Chongqing Cars to Overseas · Qinzhou to Middle East Route" product is a rail-sea combined transport solution specifically designed for commercial vehicles. Centered on the monthly route density from Qinzhou to the Middle East and the capacity of roll-on/roll-off ships with 4,000–5,000 vehicle spaces, this product offers a comprehensive delivery capability of approximately 30 days, providing strong and reliable support for "Made in Chongqing" automobiles to explore the Middle Eastern market.
The "Chongqing Direct Flight · China-Europe Air Freight Charter Flat Rate" product utilizes four weekly two-way charter flights between Chongqing and Milan, Italy, focusing on industries such as apparel, automotive, medical, and chemical, providing comprehensive chain services covering cargo collection, customs declaration, customs clearance, and delivery.
The release of these four comprehensive chain products is an important measure for COSCO Shipping and Chongqing to strengthen the domestic circulation, smooth the domestic and international dual circulation, and implement the strategic cooperation agreement between the two parties. It marks a new phase of comprehensive, deep, and strategic cooperation between the two sides. Both parties will continue to deepen the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, relying on digital, intelligent, and green methods to continuously optimize the supply chain service system, enabling more "Made in Chongqing" products to reach global markets at lower costs, higher efficiency, and more stable paths.
At the conference, representatives from Chongqing Municipal Government Port Logistics Office, COSCO Shipping Group Operations Management Headquarters, and client representatives delivered speeches. All parties expressed their intention to use this product launch as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation, relying on COSCO Shipping's integrated "shipping + port + logistics" full-chain service capabilities to jointly build the land-sea grand corridor, facilitate global supply chains, explore new opportunities for openness, and work together to establish a new order and ecosystem for shipping.
