From Sept. 1–10, IBI deepened China-Pakistan cooperation through high-level engagements, including a strategic meeting with PM Shehbaz Sharif, co-hosting the China-Pakistan B2B Investment Summit (marking the launch of “CPEC 2.0”), and jointly showcasing “Digital Pakistan” at CIFTIS. IBI outlined concrete initiatives—cross-border e-commerce platforms, intelligent digital supply chains, and streamlined customs/finance digitization—to support Pakistan’s industrial modernization in mining, IT, agriculture, and chemicals. The PM directed key ministries to fast-track collaboration, while MOUs were signed for Gwadar Industrial Park’s digital upgrade and collective procurement. These efforts underscore IBI’s role in advancing the Belt and Road Initiative and building a new-era China-Pakistan community of shared destiny.
